Texas Health Action (THA), an Austin-based nonprofit dedicated to enabling sexual wellness and health for Central Texans through a spectrum of sexual health services with an emphasis on HIV prevention, is proud to announce Megan Brunson as the organization’s first Chief Operating Officer. Beginning February 25, Brunson will work closely with THA Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Hamilton, on the improvement and expansion of sexual wellness by providing healthcare in a safe and supportive environment.

Brunson’s 13-year career growing and developing programs across diverse healthcare systems will make her an integral leader in advancing THA healthcare offerings and empowering the community through specialized THA programs like Kind Clinic. “Megan brings a wealth of healthcare experience and operational leadership to the table that will help grow the operations for THA and Kind Clinic,” said Christopher Hamilton. “In addition, she has an inspiring enthusiasm for the future of healthcare evolution that will undoubtedly play a critical role in the expansion of our healthcare offerings in the years to come.”

“Providing healthcare access that is affirming and respectful to every person is what makes the THA mission so vital and impactful,” said Brunson. “Innovative healthcare that meets individuals where they are, free of judgment or stigma, is something I am so honored to be a part of.”

Brunson is the third addition to the THA leadership team this year, following the recent hires of Collin Acock as Director of Development at THA and appointment of Joe McAdams as Director of Outreach and Community Engagement at Kind Clinic. Brunson will work alongside the THA executive team out of the administrative office in Austin, Texas.
