Texas Health Action (THA), a nonprofit corporation that works to enable sexual health and wellness for the entire Austin community by providing a spectrum of sexual health services designed to empower individual health and care while eliminating stigma, announces Christopher Hamilton as its first CEO. With a start date of March 19, Hamilton will guide the growth and development of THA and its mission of promoting and advocating for sexual wellness by empowering the entire community through healthcare, education and research, as well as its specialized programs like Kind Clinic.

Over the course of his 18-year career, Hamilton has always leaned into his passion for improving healthcare access and initiatives for the betterment of Central Texas residents. This journey has led him to serve in leadership roles where he has had the opportunity to create and launch successful healthcare, education and advocacy programs for a number of organizations, most recently as the director of the Oncology Service Line at Seton Healthcare System. “Christopher has a long history of driving effectiveness within the healthcare industry. This experience, along with his passion and commitment to our community, makes him an ideal steward to fulfill THA’s mission, expansion plans and community outreach goals going forward,” said Mark Erwin, Texas Health Action board chair.

“It is an honor to be named THA’s first CEO and to work with the many dedicated staff, donors, board of directors, and volunteers as well as the patients who rely on this organization,” said Christopher Hamilton. “I look forward to amplifying the great work THA and the Kind Clinic have already done in the community and helping expand our reach to serve as many people as possible in Central Texas through sexual health and wellness clinics and services.” As CEO, Hamilton will lead a team of 25, and will work out of the Kind Clinic’s administrative office on N. MoPac Expressway in Austin, Texas.
