Originally from Keller, TX, Melanie has lived in Austin since 1987 and has been a THA Board Member since 2015. She is passionate about finding high leverage solutions to social issues and holds degrees in History/Classical Civilization from UT and a Master of Environmental Ethics from UNT. In addition to her duties as a Board Member of THA, Melanie has also served on several City of Austin Advisory Committees and turned her love for animals into action by serving as both a Board Member and Board Chair during her tenure at Emancipet from 2006-2016.
“It has been incredible to experience the rapid growth of Kind Clinic in the past few years. Together, we have impacted the sexual wellness and health of more than 2,000 people in Central Texas and display no signs of slowing down any time soon, with the recent opening of our new North Austin location on July 9, 2019. I am so excited to continue embracing our growth, our opportunities, and to have you join me in celebrating sexual health and wellness for everybody,” says McLeroy.
We’d like to extend our welcome to our new THA Board Officers, Rick Cofer, Vice Chair, and Michelle Auwae-Lapilio who will be serving as Secretary. Additionally, Nikelle Meade is now serving as our newest THA Board Member.
